We got back from our cruise to Hawaii a few weeks ago, and if you are going on Pride of America, you will definitely want to plan something for your debarkation day in Oahu. Our flight didn't leave until 9pm and we were off of the ship by 8am.
I researched this before we went on the cruise and we looked at two options, Pearl Harbor vs Oahu Tour.
The biggest difference we found was that Pearl Harbor finished up at around noon, which gives you the rest of the day to shop or whatever, The Oahu tour went until 4pm so we still had time to do a bit of shopping and go out for dinner.
The company we went with was able to store our bags for us a a per bag price, so i would suggest trying to limit your bags to one per person. Now that the airlines all charge extra fees, my family all use massive duffle bags with wheels, i swear we have never found ourselves short on luggage space when you use these sports bags.
The tour was fabulous and instead of having a semi-wasted day on our last day in Hawaii, we had an increble time, saw lots of oahu, ate lunch at a cool little locals restaurant where we had the freshest seafood. If you are on Pride of America, definitely book a tour for your Saturday disembarking day, it's absolultely worth it.
