Default EURO

Is it best to bring euros before the cruise, convert dollars to euros on the cruise ship, or buy them at a local bank while on the cruise? We leave on a med-cruise in a few weeks and people have told us the dollar is not widely accepted. Our charge cards seem to charge a 3% transaction fee. Thanks for your help.

We usually take a bit of the local currency and hit an ATM once at port.
There will be a service fee for the ATM but probably cheaper than the CC fee.

Be sure you have a 4 digit PIN for the ATM card
