There is SO MUCH to do on sea days. You can enjoy the spa activities, play all the sports available, enjoy the gym, shop, explore the ship, attend all the day's activities such as port lectures, demonstrations, art auctions, etc. There are always fun things happening around the pool. It is virtually impossible to experience all there is to do while onboard.

Laura - you have gotten some bad information or are relying on an old myth. Depending upon what ship you are on there is so much to do on sea days, each ship has different activities. Everything from surfing to art auctions. You really can't generalize. You can be as active or as sedentary as you CHOOSE! that's one great thing about cruising.

There will be plenty to do on those ships. Since it's NCL's Freestyle Cruising, though, you may want to save yourself waiting times later in teh cruise and book most of your dinner reservations early on during the cruise.
Our family really likes sea days. You can do as much or as little as you want. Sea days are especially great when the weather on deck is sunny and warm.
