Default Question #1..Insurance??

I have just booked our family's first cruise (NCL) for Christmas week out of Miami on December 22nd. I have many questions but will start with this one. We have flights from Boston (read possible snow) to Miami on December 20th.
Question #1 - should I buy the insurance? NCL offers it at $99.00 each.
Thanks...believe me there are more questions to come but this one apparently is time sensitive.

Hi Kim,
You may also want to check out other travel insurance, here are 2 good ones, I personally use CSA and have had no problems:
CSA:
<http://www.csatravelprotection.com/>
Travelguard:
<http://www.travelguard.com/>

Its always a good idea to take out the insurance, we spend to much money on a trip just to loose it, in the event something happens beyound our control.

Hi, Kim ...

Sounds like you have already taken out insurance by flying to the port city two days before departure.

I can't remember the upper East airports being socked in for TWO days by snow, EVER.

Well, there was 1979 but that was getting out of your own driveway, planes were still flying.

You are very smart to take a couple of days on the front end.

Keep asking questions, we will keep answering.

Thanks very much Donna...I did end up purchasing it...especially because I was unaware of the health issues should something happen and our hmo not cover it. I was only thinking of the assurance that we would make it on the ship! I guess my mind is only on being sure I get ON the ship...not what happens after.

And that Pam is why I booked Thursday night. Of course that's no guarantee either but it is some piece of mind. And, I thought it made sense, given that we have a retarded child who can have problems with transitions, to give us a more leisurely start to our trip rather than trying to rush rush rush. So, we'll begin with a day and a half at South Beach!
