Default Drink Coupons/Cards

Hey everyone! I am taking my first cruise in October on the Carnival Victory and am a bit confused about drinks...yes THOSE kind of drinks. Good ol' alcoholic beverages. I have heard about a card that allows you to get unlimited soda, but then I read about coupons for alcoholic drinks. Why would I want these? Is it just so you can prepay for it? How much should I expect to pay for drinks on board?
And what about this soda card? Shouldnt soda be included in the "all-inclusive aspect" of a cruise?

Thanks for any information!!

Wow! Ask and I shall recieve
Thanks very much for that. I didnt know I could find that on their site. Those prices aren't bad at all - I was expecting much worse.

Boy, could I go for a Pina Colada right now!

Thanks again!

LeiLoni - on Princess you do not have to pay for tap water, coffee, fruit juice, tea - iced or hot, or milk - these are always available at Horizon Court Buffet. The soda sticker card for 7 days is $22.50(that's 10 soda's). The water from the tap in your stateroom is very good. What we do is buy some smaller bottles of water on land, and refill them in our room, chill them in the fridge. Watch for the drink of the day specials - alcoholic and non-alcoholic - cheaper on these days.

No no, I THINK (and hope) she means that the card is $22.50 which would be like buying 10 sodas. So if you plan to have more than 10 sodas, the card is definetly the way to go.

Although we are getting jipped - on Carnival our cards are almost $34, and sodas are $1, so its not such a hot deal.
