We are looking into a cruise on the Carnival Triumph. We got a quote for a balcony room ... the lowest price balcony room. Should we pay a little more and get a higher priced balcony room? Is there any difference in balcony rooms ... not suites just balcony rooms. If so ... which (type) room would be preferred?
Thanks
I am not specifically familiar with Carnival but we have had balcony rooms on several other lines. (Princess, Holland, Crystal) If you look at the deck plan you will probably find that the rooms are basically the same, it is usually the location that is the difference. The more expensive ones are more amidships, not too close to the bow or to the stern, near the elevators. and do not have a view obstructed by anything. If you study the deck plan you will be able to see the differences. You might want to avoid a room right below the lido or some other open deck. Morning joggers can be a nuisance.
That said, we had a balcony near the stern of the Holland Statendam for four weeks below an open deck -- and it was great.
