Single Male in early 30's. While I generally mix well with all age groups, I would prefer to travel with a decent amount of people in my age group- not just seniors or kids.
I want to go to Europe- either Northern Europe or Greece.
Length of Cruise: 5-8 nights
I was reading about the guranteed roommate match- and it seems I would be better off being by myself. So looking for a cruise line that will not gouge me on the single supplement.
Is it best to book with travel agents or on a cruise line website?
What is the most ideal state-room for a first-timer?
Thanks for all your help and suggestions!

I would suggest either Carnival or RCL. Both will have plenty of people in your age group. Just remember the longer the cruise, the more expensive it is and the average age on the ship goes up. The added cost of flying overseas can cost as much or a whole lot more then your cruise.
basically they all gouge you on single suppliment. There's really no way around it if you decide to go solo. To save yourself money, you can book a 1A type cabin. As long as you don't mind rooms with no windows, you will be just fine.
Go with a travel agent. they can help you find deals and make sure things are taken care of.
