Ok.........why didnt anyone tell what a rush it is to get your booking packet? The tickets, the itinerary, the brochures for the excursions, the luggage tags. We both screamed out load. It suddenly made it "really real". And in case you're wondering what the hell I'm taking about.............WE"RE GOING ON A CRUISE !!!!!!!!! This could get addictive.
Believe me Paul - it IS addictive!!! I don't think there are words to express the excitement of the tickets arriving but you did a pretty darm good job of it!!!
It does make it real and I believe that the anticipation is half the fun. My partner and I have only been on 6 cruises so far but each one has been special in it's own way and we have very wonderful memories of each one. You are right - cruising IS the best!
Have a fabulous time!!!
We're going on the Zuiderdam to the Caribbean. We leave Ft. Lauderdale.........then Key West........Cozumel......Cayman Islands.........Bahamas.....then home. Hopefully suntanned and fat.
It is exciting when one receives their packet! My partner and I are going on our third cruise in August and it's just as exciting as the first. You'll enjoy the ports you're going to, we hit some of the same ones on our first cruise (on the Norwegian Dawn). In Cozumel, we booked our own excursion to Chichen Itza to see the Mayan ruins, just incase you're interested in seeing those, they're fascinating! The ship offered an 11 hour bus excursion to see the ruins, we booked a tour that flies you out there and it takes about 5 hours total.
Get this guys...My partner and I frequently travel to Europe on our vacations. I have done cruises in the past with my family and had a great time. When I booked our cruise my partner was so so about it. He said he was going because I was so excited about it. Well, the cruise came and went and he is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO ADDICTED that he got brochures for future cruises in Alaska and Europe. He even said that 7 days is too short and wants to go on a 12 day one! HALLELUYAH A CONVERT!! :-) HA HAHA!!
If you are thinking about a 12 night cruise to Alaska you should consider the 12 night on Celebrity's Infinity. We already have met another person going on the September 3, 2005, sailing out of San Francisco. We did this cruise a couple of weeks ago on Mercury and loved it so much we have taken out a group for the cruise I mentioned for next year. If you would like some information on it, please let me know.
Ok...........so how come I'm on a gay cruise site planning a trip and NO ONE TOLD ME THAT I WOULD NEED 12 SUTICASES? I'm sitting here trying to pack and looking around the room it's clear that we're going to need a smaller ship to carry the suitcases. Between the tuxs, jackets, pants, shorts, suntan lotion and a few other items..........it's like 4 suitcases. God, it's hell being a gay man.
