Default Zaandam 4/12 Mini Cruise

Booked on the 4/12 4 Night Cruise to Bahamas on Zaandam. First time on HAL-Have done RCCL and Carnival wondering if anyone has any input on HAL cruises and this particular ship and sailing. My tickets are saying Casual Dinners for all 4 nights which is fine by me. We are a couple in our mid 40's looking for some R&R not too hung up on shore excursions would be happy just to read by the pool or on the beach and do a little gambling. This is not the normal itinery for this ship with stops in Freeport, Nassau and Half Moon Cay. We have booked a Class A Mini Balcony Suite. Would appreciate any input/advice.

You will love your suite, plenty of space abd the veranda is great. Lounge and reg.chair with a table for your cocktails. Food is outstanding and ship is the greatest. We have sailed her three times, the last in Jan.03, cabin 7038 just a few steps from the Lido deck. Do not forget to check both sides of the buffet as thay are different. Have a great time.

See you on board. My wife and I share your interests. Her first cruise. We also questioned the casual nights. Wonder if they mean it?

Is there any way to confirm whether all four nights are casual? Even on a Carnival 3-day cruise, one night is formal. Also, does anyone know if the stop at Port Lucaya is by tender or at a dock?

We confirmed that all 4 nights are casual for 4/12. We contacted Holland America from this site.

The two of us are also very happy for an ALL casual mini cruise. Just think...less packing....fewer shoes.....more relaxed....etc. Who wants to dress up on an island cruise?

If you check some of the other topics, you will find a number who live for formal nights and would dress for dinner if they were the only two on a deserted island.
