Default Any recent Rotterdam cruisers?

My wife and I are considering a European/Scandanavian cruise on the Rotterdam in July 2008.
The most recent reader reviews are from 2007, and recount some shocking horror stories, and reviews from 2006 complain about poor quality service and amenities.
The Rotterdam appears to be headed for drydock in late 2009 for some remodeling; can any recent cruisers on the Rotterdam comment on its condition, the service, and overall experience you had on board?

Thanks in advance!

November transatlantic. Her condition was good, the remodelling will bring her up to speed with new amenities and etc., service was a bit slow at first, but then some crew were diverted from the ship to serve another which had had an illness breakout. No horror stories to tell, but we did loose 2 passengers due to natural causes. JFYR, the ship has a morgue as well as a jail/detention cell and other places not on the ship's tour itinerary.

With only a 100 day medallion I was a newbie - some of the passengers had 1,200 days with HAL.

and, believe me, when i have 1200 hal days, i will be long dead; they'll have to keep me in the cooler for many cruises to achieve that! and put me to scrap with the ship. i have cruised on the rotterdam several times, and she is a great lady, indeed. ps: the 'coffin room' is actually in the refectory, the kitchen; it is clearly marked as i saw on a tour. but where else should it be? by the pool; in the casino; by the stage in the show lounge?? pps: no one was, of course, allowed to view the 'coffin room.' hey, its a large ship with an older clientele. on a long cruise, one could expect, as in a town of 2000 residents, for folks to die. that's the way i want to go, except just slide me off the 'fantail' in warm waters??? the rotterdam is just fine.

Um...Maybe I was purposely a little vague on where the inside cabin for the departed is actually located.

I assume you mean 2009 trip
We have just got off the Rotterdam from a MONTH from Australia to Singapore - the ship and everything was fantastic
My email is ghalligan@mail.com if you or anyone have any specific questions as it would take too long to write about everything on this forum
