Default Cocoa Beach Hotels

We are cruising on Mariner of the Seas Aug. 21 and have booked Days Inn Cocoa Expo for the night before the cruise. We got a very good rate, but when I looked at Tripadvisor someone had rated it as a dump. Does anyone know anything about this hotel. We would rather pay more for a decent hotel than to wind up in a dump. Thanks for your help.

My family and I stayed at the Days Inn last August. Definitely not a 5 star hotel, but not a 1 star either. It was a little on the run down side, but served its purpose as we were only there for the one night prior to the cruise. It was one of the lesser priced motels/hotels we looked at on the strip, and the adage is " you get what you pay for".

All in all, it was not that bad and my wife did not complain.

Thanks--I can stand "run down"---as long as it's clean. No roaches &etc.

Look into the LaQuinta Inn Cocoa Beach. We stayed there before our cruise. It was very clean, nicely located, great breakfast, helpful staff and they had a very nice pool area.

Louise,

Definitely clean with no roaches. There is also a pool and a restaurant right next door for breakfast - I think it was a Perkins.

Good luck and enjoy your cruise.

This was the Days Inn Cocoa Expo in Cocoa, FL ---- not to be confused with Days Inn Cocoa Beach. Are we talking about the same hotel?

Sorry, we stayed at the Days Inn Cocoa Beach, not in Cocoa. Unfortunately, I can not provide any feedback for the Days Inn in Cocoa.

Seems to be a nice enough hotel, but you are not anywhere near the Port. May want to cancel and rebook in the Cocoa Beach area. I live in the area, and there in not much going on in Cocoa.
