Constellation Cruise 22/12/08
 

Hello everybody!

I checked the board and don't think that there is a roll call as of yet so I thought I would start the ball rolling!

I am really looking forward to the cruise, this will be a first time travelling with Celebrity Cruises.

My name is Trudy, 36 years of age and live in London, England. My long suffering husband is 39 years of age.

I am looking forward to getting glammed up to the nines and I have already chosen my three cocktail dresses to wear! I feel another shopping trip coming on!

Hi Trudy! I'm Cathy, 51 years of age and newly wed...married last December 1st. My husband is Barry and we live in Oakville, Ontario, just 20km west of Toronto.

Thanks for starting the roll call. I'm registered on the one on Cruise Critic, too. Nothing like a roll call to get you that much more excited about a cruise, don't you think?

I have done about half a dozen cruises and our honeymoon last December was a New Year's cruise on the Caribbean Princess, my husband's first cruise. He liked enough to plan another this holiday season. Our original booking was on the Solstice but the emerging modern decor and lack of cetain amenities, including a thalassotherapy pool, caused us to reconsider and book on the Constellation instead. The extra four nights and itinerary were appealing, also.

You'll love Celebrity, I am sure. I sailed on the Century a few years ago and loved it. Excellent service and great food. What other lines have you done?

It's unfortunate that the ship doesn't do the canal crossing and the excursion on the ferry seems to have been removed from the list of available excursions on the Celebrity site. Seems like a shame to go that far and not be able to expereince the locks. Hopefully it will be added to the list or maybe someone can research a private excursion.

I know what you mean about the formal nights and the "glamming". I've got my dresses picked out, too! We really enjoyed New Years Eve on the ship last year. Very festive! Balloon drop and artificial snow in teh atrium on the Caribbean Princess. Very cool!
