My fiance (in forties from Virginia) and I will be traveling on this cruise. First time on Royal Caribbean. Looking forward to some fun in the sun. We just had 20" of snow and so hope to have fair weather.
Not bringing children this time.
Looking forward to meeting other fun loving couples as well!
We got in on the ONE DAY ONLY $249 fare, which I think is a pretty good deal for 5 days. Ended up with a Large interior room (146 SqFt seems a bit generous to be calling "large" -maybe not so teeny weeny would be more apt, but going w an open mind and fun spirit) On deck 7 under the spa and fitness area on the very aft. Should be a nice quiet ride and rockabye sleep time. (when we decide to sleep)
Total cost was $704 for 2 with gratuities included.
We opted for this so we could be seated at any time to eat. (never done that before either, so not sure if it's worth it).
We aren't big on paid for shore excursions, or shopping, usually opting to grab our fins and snorkles and discover the sea life. If anyone knows the area and can pin point the best place to dive/snorkle without having to go as a "tour" that would be greatly appreciated.
last cruise we were on, (Carnival Fascination September 6 2009)
We took a paid for snorkle on Nassau and said never again!
Caught a bus around the other side of the island and snorkled until sunset at our own pace.
Half Moon Key we found a secluded beach, fantastic reefs and didn't have to share the fish with anyone, let alone a fin in the face from others who were too close or simply didn't know how to snorkle.
So if you know if the "MUST see snorkle spots" for these ports we can get to on our own, PLEASE let us know.
Also enjoy dancing, the pools, and hot tubs, and I am SO excited about the rock climbing wall too!
Other than that, just looking forward to being on the ocean with the salty air running through my hair and clear skies above!
