Default hotel

Helen and I will be staying oct 5-7 at Russott Hotel in Mestree. Taxi from Morco Polo air port to hotel. No water taxi for us. Too expensive.

The hotel is on the mainland very near the beginning of the causeway leading ovedfr to the island of Venice.

We are interwsted in the city of Padua which is only about 30 Kil out from venice. Anyone interested in this adventure let me know. the ship edxcursion lisst for $79 per pefrson from the ship. The city I unjderfstand is vefry interesting with old stuff.

See you all on the next possting.

Default Boy you are ready to cruise!

Wow Hannah you are ready to cruise, so far Ray and Helen Bourdeax, Ruth and Karl Schramm, You and I have been tagged. Got to be more. Lets hear about it!

Got to start working on tours now, What tours are you all looking at. I got your email Hannah, we are booked on the Montserrat tour in Barcelona, going to do the Morning city tour in Marseilles, leaving us the afternoon to go off on our own. I really liked the Isle of Capri and would like to do something there again. Will be looking at the tours closer this week, I hope.

Who else is ready to Cruise?

Karl and Karin

Hi!
My first time on this board, but not my first cruise. Will be celebrating my 68th birthday in Lisbon and am a Widower. First cruise was in 2003 and this will be my nineteenth (15th on Princess) First Princess cruise this year(The last was on the Sea Princess from NYC to Barbados last October(Halloween)).

I,m looking forward to this one as I understand that there are some new features; e.g. Leonard Maltin Movie Club, Princess Cruises Book Club and the Pub Lunches in the Wheelhouse Bar. As I've been to all the ports with the exception of Marseille (where I must see Avignon) I'm up in the air about the rest thought. I will go to Rome (those coins I tossed in the Trevi must work). I love Capri but have not been to Herculaneum.

This wil be my third transatlantic and seventh time in the Mediterranean. Altough I like traveling solo (There are advantages) I most certainly enjoy meeting most people. See you on board in one of the bars or lounges.

Hi We received our baggage tags. Yippee.

Will we get door magnets??

How about the Cocktail party??

Have been to Rome and would like to do something different.
Does anyone know about the "Medieval Countryside & Olive Oil" tour?

How about Euros? What is the least expensive anyone can get??

See you

HiDelores;

Yes there is a party, You will be getting your invite to the cocktail party on board the ship.

And you will be getting a cruisemates door thingee. It won't be a magnet, we have been running into problems with where the magnets would not stick to the door, so these will have stickum on the back, you will be able to remove them and take them home if you want. The email I had for you from Nancy was polishladydee@aol.com, is that correct? Hope you have got my emails.

Looking forward to meeting you and Zolton, have a great day, Just over 50 days!

Hi Robert;

Welcome to the board. Karin and I are starting to look at tours, have only decided on tours in Barcelona and Lisbon so far. Got a lot of decisions to make. This is our 4th transatlantic cruise, last year we took the Emerald Princess out of Venice to Ft. Lauderdale, it was a great cruise. Hope the weather is as nice or better this year.

Have a great day and see you on board.

Karl

45 days, time is flying by. Will be boarding that plane soon, well on the 6th of October, anyway. Anyone on Lufthansa flight 429 out of Charlotte on the 6th? Getting ready to start checking on my "CRUISE WEAR", hope I still fit in them.

Default Baggage

Just read the news that US Airways is raising the fee for baggage. Was 15 for first bag now will be 20. That is if you check before you get to airport. At airport another $5 will be added. Gosh when are they gonna stop feeing us.

We fly on US Air leaving MCO on Oct 4th. Getting to Hotel in Venice on the 5th. Trying to get a tour to Pague witch is about 30 KM out of Venice. The ship charges $79 PP for the tour. I email a company and asked for the same tour. They want way toooo much. Wanted over 400 Euros for all day and 330 for half day. So I will go with the ship if I cannot find anything else.

C U all around.

Good Morning Ray;

There are no baggage fees for the first two bags per person on a transatlantic flight. Here is a link to usairways baggage info

http://www2.usairways.com/en-US/trav...epolicies.html

Hope this helps.

On US AIR you are allowed 2 bags at no charge for international flights.
