Default 3/30 depart on Mercury 11 nite?

hi all,
this is my/our first time cruising. We are so excited we can't stand it! There will be 5 of us. My husband, mother, 6yo, and 9 month old and myself. I've been lurking on the message board for sometime and thank you to those that posted cool excursion ideas. I've printed them out and have a file of great ideas.
Just putting myself out there to see if anyone else is traveling with young children also.

First cruise...but not last,
Best,
Decobo

Hi,

We cruise with our children often, but we waited until our youngest was 2 before we started. We went on Carnival where they accept 2YO into their children's programs, and although I didn't leave him there a lot, the few hours each day that my husband and I enjoyed without children was a much needed break. We don't have relatives that live near us and didn't have a babysitter for the longest time. So my kids were initiated into the world of cruise children's activities at an early age. They LOVE it. Your 6YO will love it. If the Mercury has private babysitting, arrange for it so that you can have 1 or two nice leisurely dinners sans kids, and/or a little adult time in the evening.

I'm sure you'll all have a great time.

Hola amigos!

My wife and I are also traveling with children (5 yrs and 1 year) so I can understand your concern. I hope there are other families on the cruise. [Both of our parents are also joining us on this trip - nothing like instant babysitters to make a trip more enjoyable..].

This will be our 3rd cruise to the Mexican Riviera, but the 1st time on Celebrity. I'm sure your kids will have a great time...you just need to take some precautions such as bringing your own water rather than drinking from the local sources and making sure you have plenty of sun block.

Have fun!
