Default Paradise Beach - still free, open?

Harry re-posted a message in 2005 that was originally from 2004.It noted that the member thought Paradise Beach might eventually charge a fee since (in 2004) it was new and trying to develop clientel.

Does anyone know what the current situation is with Paradise Beach in Cozumel? Is there a fee? Minimum purchase required?

Also, because of the hurrican after Harry's post, what is the current status of the beach? I will be there is early July.

thanks,
Sue

Sue, just did a search and found this message from March:

"Just got back from a march 5,06 trip. We took a cab for 13$ to Paradise beach. The fee is 10$ min per person consumption. the food was good and they bring it to your chaise. My 6 yr had fun just playing in the waves."

Here is their website which states free or but for $8/pp you can use their equipment. We were hoping to try it last year but because of hurricane damage it was ready so we went to Costa Maya.
