We have booked an 11-night cruise on the MSC Monterrey, September 7-20th. I am single in my late-50s, and will by traveling with my parents who are in their 80's. We selected this cruise because of the itinerary: Italy, Greece, Turkey, Cyprus, Egypt, tnen back to Greece and Italy (albeit with very short visits in each port).
Would love to hear some feedback from others who have been on this smaller, classic ship and/or have taken this itinerary with MSC.
We chose this ship because it does attract European clientele, and because it is a smaller ship. The itinerary is perfect for out interests and needs.
How were the shore excursions? Were they very costly? What options were offered in Kusadasi and Port Said?
MSC seems to get mixed reviews on the message boards.
I don't know how you do it , but please check out the qualifications of the Dr on this ship. That seems especially important considering the age of your parents. If you have a bad one, as I did on the MSC opera, it could cost you the life of you or your parents. Jan
