hotel near miami port

could someone please tell me where to stay near ther NCL port in miami? It doesnt have to be fancy, after all i will bw there at midnight the night before the ship leaves. if you could just drop me your places that you have stayed it would be great. thanks in advance.

We have stayed at the Howard Johnsons on Biscayne Blvd. It is one of the closets hotels to the port. There are none right there. This hotel is right on the turning basin and has a view of the port.

The prices are not bad either.

We stayed at the Best Western Marina Park which is now the Holiday Inn Marina Park in downtown right across from Bayside and the Port of Miami. Good spot for a pre-night. We also stayed at the Wyndam which is now the Radison. Both have port view rooms if you ask. The Raddison has a lot more rooms but is a min.or two further from port.
There are a lot of the major chain hotels around ,all just a few min. cab ride to the port.(Marriott,Doubletree,Hyatt,Intercontinatal)

I wanted to say thanks to both INTREPID and BCRUSIN, you will make my job of finding a hotel alot easier. thanks again.

We picked up 2 rooms at the Radisson for $40 each. Got them through priceline.com.
