Hi,
Most are free. There are 3 main restaurants that have the same menu. We never had any problem getting in.
Cagneys is the steak house. It is a minimum of $20 extra per person and $45 for "the special part of the menu".
Le Bistro is extra. I think it's $12 extra, french food.
The sushi bar is $10 extra. And I think the Asian rest is extra but not sure how much.
There is the Salsa, mexican, that's free but you will need reservations.

IMHO, and even if you're not a big Asian-food person - you should make it a point to try Tempanyaki. My girlfriend (whose idea of really good food is pasta) and I agreed to each have a resturant of choice when we went in October. My choice was Tempanyaki (which is a hibachi grill that is part of Sushi). Note - you need to make reservations for it and specify Tempanyaki.

The food was amazing. And my girlfriend agreed. She had the filet and I had a combo of filet and shirmp. I still DREAM about that meal. Hibacki is fun to watch, and we had a great time with the folks we were seated around the hibachi with. Neither of us are sushi eaters, but you can order sushi in there, along with lots of other things, and the folks we sat with raved about it. They were from NY and really had some experience with this type of food. We learned a lot because of that - but most of all, the meal was totally and completely SUPERB!! It gets my vote hands down - and I think it was only $10.pp.

We're going on the Dawn again for New Years - feel free to email me if you have any other questions. We ate at every restaurant but Cagney's - which is on our list for December....

Hi,
I was on the Dawn 6/20/04. If you eat at Cagney's the cover charge is $20, I ordered lobster and that was $25. The lobster was great and for five extra dollars you can't go wrong:) I was told it was $45 by other passengers but it is only $25 for the special menu. I was very happy to see that when I got yhe bill. Have a great time:)

In the restaurants that charge, can you still order however much you want or are you limited?

Hi -

When you say you are cruising on the New Year's Cruise, I assume you are leaving on Dec 30? My wife, son, and I are booked on the 12/19 cruise which returns on Dec 30 and we are looking forward to this so much (boy do I need a vacation).

Enjoy your voyage and happy cruising.

Regards - /m/
