I'm thinking ... how bad can it be? December in NY hasn't been that bad over the years and it isn't like we're staying up north ... the ship heads straight out to sea and is well south of winter by the next day (the cruises from NY are 2 days at sea starting out).
This will be our first cruise on NCL and our third cruise overall (the other two cruises were both out of NY but in August ... one to Nova Scotia and the other to Bermuda).
Leaving in the winter out of NY isn't bad., the first day may be iffy, but after that all should be good. By the end of the 1st night you should be some where off the coast of South carolina. As for Grenada, I'm going on the 28th of Nov. and from what I can see now is that the itenerary is the same as the 10 day cruise, with an extra day at sea.
i,m doing the 01/09/05 sailing from ny just can,t wait to see if we get snow.
instead of serving drinks with ice they can scoop up a little snow.
But i think sailing from cold to warm in a day or so will be fun.
Coming from Maine i think NY will seem warm.
Wish you a good cruise, hope to read a review or two on the longer itenerary soon, don,t forget to post a review. reading these forums keeps me thinking cruise.
