Default Pearl reviews

I chose today, the day before we fly to Miami, to read reviews of our ship over on cruise critic.
It is amazing the difference in the 8 reviews that are posted for THE EXACT SAME CRUISE!
(Note: two of the reviewers thought they were on the western Carribean cruise.)

Just tells me to go...enjoy...have no false expectations.

Go, have a great time and don't worry. An example of different ideas, different people: My daughter has a friend that just got off the Jewel. He did have a great cruise, loved the food (best in about 10 cruises he said) and loved the cabins. His complaints, the ship is hard to manover, didin't like the layout and the entertainment was awful: We love the Jewel, one of the best cruises we have had was on her, but the weak spot for us, would have been the food and the cabins. Neither was bad, the cabins are done nicely, great bathrooms, lots of storage, but the sq ft is a little on the cramped side. We had no trouble finding our way around the ship and thought the entertainment was better than most lines. go figure!!!!!

Go and don't worry about it! You'll have a wonderful time -- we certainly did when we were there in November.

As far as the comments about the ship being hard to maneuver around, we did find it a little odd -- but it's not stopping us from sailing on the Pearl in May, which I understand is basically the same layout. For us, the main issue was the location of Tsar's Palace at the back of the ship. We happened to be in a cabin on deck 5, and in order to get to Tsar's, you had to go up to deck 7 and go to the back of the ship in order to get there. Deck 4 and deck 5 don't go to the back of the ship, and Tsar's occupies that space at the back on deck 6, so you have to approach from deck 7. We found it mildly annoying, but I was talking to a person in a wheelchair who had real issues with it. I guess there's only one elevator that will get you to the proper place, and it took her 4 days to be able to find someone that could help her figure out which one it was.

Nita -- I'm glad to hear that your daughter's friend loved the food. The menus changed shortly after we sailed in November, and I'm hoping that the newer menu will be even more appealing than the old one was!

Kimbo,
I posted a little bit of a review last night.

I wandered all over the ship and think I can answer most anything you ask.

Dan,

I am not Kimbo and nor I am as pretty but maybe you can answer this: do the cabins have DVD players in them? Thanks
