Default First Time cruiser with kids cruising on NCL Norwegian Dawn

Hi! This is the first time I've ever been on a cruise, not to mention with two kids ages 2 and 3 1/2. My husband refused to take a flight with the kids, so we decided to choose a cruiseliner that left out of NYC. We will be taking the seven day Bermuda Bahamas cruise in July.
Can anyone offer any tips for survival with two little ones? How are the kids programs? I also heard that if your kid isn't potty trained, they will not allow him in the pool....is that true?
Please any comments would truly be appreciated.
Thanks!

You wil be happy with your decision I hope. To answer a few questions: NCL is one of the few lines that will take 2 year olds into the kids program, but if they are not potty trained mommy and daddy must wear a beeper so they can take care of the diaper thing if necessary. the councilors are not hired for that purpose. Most everyone raves about the program.

As for the pool and potty trained? This is true, every cruise line has the same policy, It is a health requiirement. You may want to think about bringing one of those small inflatable pools with you. I have heard the crew will help fill and empty it. That way the little one can splash along with others.

One of the best things about NCL and tiny ones is freestyle dining. You will be able to eat when the kids feel it is time, not the time the ship has assigned to you.
