I will try to answer your questions and others will follow I am sure. We have cruised the Sun twice, loved it both times. As for cold, no I never have felt the public areas were cold but do bring a light wrap just in case.
Drinks; if you are a huge soda drinker I would either bring my own on board or get a card, if you drink 2 or so a day don't bother. Mixed drinks are a little higher on NCL than some lines, but not as high as Celebrity. A glass of house wine willl be about $7.50 including tip, martini if you call a basic brand like Absolute is about the same. Johnny Walker on the rocks I think is about $7.00 inlcuding tax.
Min at the tables is $5.00 and sometimes they will run a $3.00 special but not often. I don't think I have seen any tables with higher than $5.00. Lots of slots from pennies all the way up.
Food is so subjective; Overall I don't think the food on NCL is as good as other lines, but certainly it isn't bad and some is very good, especially the salad and soups. Entrees and appitizers can be hit or miss as well as the buffet. The buffet is as good as most ships and better than many. Be sure and have tapas in Las Rambles at least one night before dinner. They also serve breakfast.
Hope this helps a little, I think you will love the ship. If you like to drink make sure you do the Martini clinic.
guess you are on an earlier sailing. We have ben to those places, and are glad to be going back to Roatan again. We first were there when it was totally undeveloped and there have been many changes since, but it is very pretty
I am a little concerned about Roatan because someone reported on a different cruise website that some tourists were robbed on a tour bus from one of the cruise line tours. That person did, however, say it might be a rumor. I was thinking of just taking a taxi ride out to West end beach with my husband and another couple on the trip with us, but now I'm concerned. I guess I will look up a newspaper from Roatan and see if there is anything in there that would confirm the robbery.
