Default Bus transportation in and around Bermuda

I am planning on buying a 4 day bus pass, as we will be in port for 4 days. I have 2 excursions booked through NCL but would like to see some more of the islands on my own. Specifically a shopping day on Front Street in Hamilton and a trip to Crystal Caves.

Has anyone used the bus pass system. Is it easy to get from here to there, easy to read maps, reliable transportation?

Thank you

We purchased a two day bus pass a few years ago. It was very easy to use. If you need any help we found the local people extremely helpful if we asked with a smile. It is especially great because everyone speaks English in Bermuda!

Everything you want to know about Bermuda buses and ferries can be found here: http://www.bermuda.com/transportation/

The transportation pass includes buses and ferries. Buses run regularly and are clean and on-time. You will have no problem seeing anything you'd like to see in Bermuda using public transportation.

One hint that we were very politely reminded of is that there is only a front entrance/exit to the busses, they don't have a rear door. Everyone politely waits while passengers disembark before they start to enter the bus. Bus riding in Bermuda was almost as fun as the activities in which we participated!

Don't forget the pass also covers ferry transport.

With a map, omnipresent, navigation is VERY easy.

It is a great way to travel as you can get on and off at will. We spent a whole day because you also get to take the water taxis with the locals and see places off the regular tourist haunts.--Enjoy I am thinking of booking the Oct 12th Dream from Boston--waiting for last minute weather report and fares for solo to come down again---$800 for super ocean room--Hope to get it for 600-700 the week before.

We were in Bermuda in April and found the bus/ferry system to be very easy to use and a great way to see so much on the island. Have a great time - you will love Bermuda.

the taxis get expensive so a bus/ferry is great. if i remember correctly it may be cheaper to buy a month or year pass than a 4 day pass, but look into it just to be safe.
