On our t/a on the NCL Gem...we had the worst crossing.. so bad that the doors to the decks were cordoned off, unable to use the balconies, pools and jacuzzis. yet for somebody who gets sick at the slightest high wave I did very well.. Oh.. did I mention thunder, lightening, rainbows, heavy rain and wind.. If your nervous.. buy a bottle of ginger tablets.. and drink peppermint tea if your stomach gets a little wobbly...If your really nervous about the seas...take two ginger tablets as you step foot on the ship and have your first meal, it works. Me, I weathered the entire trip like the trooper I never thought I was.
Thanks. Usually don't get seasick. I was just curious how bad the seas were this weekend with the snow storms up/down the eastern seaboard. But, I will buy some ginger tablets.
It works on the same principal as the flat gingerale your mother gave you when you had an upset stomach...I always have gotten seasick..and whether its mind over matter it works.. the only thing that gave me a funny feeling during rough seas last trip was a friend who sat next to me with a steaming bowl of chili..
