The DW and I head out today for our first cruise. A big THANK YOU to everyone on this board who have shared their knowledge about cruising. It has really helped us to plan. For example:
Because of what we read online we decided to fly out pf Denver on Friday and spend Saturday in Miami before the cruise. When we arrived at the airport we found that our United flight hadb been canceled due to mechanical problems. Of course there was an angry crowd in front of the ticket counter. When it was our turn we told the agent that they could fly us the next day if.they wanted as it was no big deal because of the way web had set it up (becausebof what we read here). The agent gave us a huge smile and told she wished everyone really should plan travel that way.
The end of this story is that this gal went to work and we walked away with tickets on a flight two hours later and two food vouchers in our hand. None of which webasles for. Our origional flight had a stop over in Houston. The new flight.was.straight. through so we arrived in Miami about the same time as we had planned.
So- a somewhat long story but.proof of how the advice on this forum is so helpful.
I know that as we board and during the cruise the advice we have received here will help
us to have abwonderful experience. Thank you.
Of course we will be off-line for a while now but I hope to share our experiences on return. Away we go...
