Have never been on the Pacific Princess but on all the other Princess ships I've been on the Horizon Court (or its equivalent) has been open at noon for buffet lunch service. The ship's have usually started allowing passenger to embark at about noon.
Thank you so much for your response. I don't want to appear to be obsessed by food, but the Pacific Princess is the only ship that I know of, or at least that I will have been on, that doesn't have a midnight buffet. Wonder why.
Princess's ships do have a midnight buffet on Island Night (BTW, be sure to bring a colorful Hawaiian dress for this occasion), but it's amazing how few passengers actually go there to eat. Also, on most Princess ships, the Horizon Court or its equivalent on the Lido Deck is always open for food service (it also features a bistro menu with table service at night) so there really is no need for a separate midnight buffet. I'm not sure what the arrangements are aboard MV Pacific Princess because her lido buffet is outside, but I suspect that there's some sort of food or snack service somewhere -- and, in any case, you can always order something from room service.
