Default Food

My family and I will be sailing on the Pacific Princess in August. We plan to arrive at the ship rather early. Will there be lunch available?

Have never been on the Pacific Princess but on all the other Princess ships I've been on the Horizon Court (or its equivalent) has been open at noon for buffet lunch service. The ship's have usually started allowing passenger to embark at about noon.

Have a great time.

Thank you so much for your imput. I don't want to appear to be obsessed by food, but Pacific Princess will be the first ship I have ever been on that doesn't have a midnight buffet.

Thank you so much for your response. I don't want to appear to be obsessed by food, but the Pacific Princess is the only ship that I know of, or at least that I will have been on, that doesn't have a midnight buffet. Wonder why.

Hazel,

Princess's ships do have a midnight buffet on Island Night (BTW, be sure to bring a colorful Hawaiian dress for this occasion), but it's amazing how few passengers actually go there to eat. Also, on most Princess ships, the Horizon Court or its equivalent on the Lido Deck is always open for food service (it also features a bistro menu with table service at night) so there really is no need for a separate midnight buffet. I'm not sure what the arrangements are aboard MV Pacific Princess because her lido buffet is outside, but I suspect that there's some sort of food or snack service somewhere -- and, in any case, you can always order something from room service.

Norm.

I always felt the midnight buffet was just a waste of food as I never saw anyone eating anything.
