Yes, we are!... and the preceeding 16-day (Bangkok - Tokyo) to make a 48-day back-to-back for our honeymoon. The (Tokyo - San Francisco) is one of the best transpacific itineraries I've ever seen.
I hope we can find more people that are sailing with us, and arrange to meet at the beginning of the cruise. We had five couples from the boards meet on our last cruise and all became good friends... it really 'made' the cruise and we had a lot of fun together.
What category are you in and how long have you had this booked? Next question, age group. We are very excited about it. We went to Hawaii on Norwegian in October of this year. Missed a Kaui because a crew member gave birth and they could not or would not air lift her off the ship. Glad to be back with PRINCESS>>>
We had planned to do the Royal 71 World Cruise which was cancelled.
Looked at Regal 32 day, but decided to wait until fall when HAL does a 64 day Circle Pacific. I'm interested in the logistics of a 32/48/64 cruise.
How and what do you pack, particularly with the number of formal nights?
(Edith Blum writes of passengers on QE2 100 day world cruises who ship their clothing in moving van boxes to the port)
We're onboard for 48 days and I'm taking a large suitcase, garmnet bag, and carry-on. We did a 22-day last spring and I found I took too many clothes - especially shirts. With self service laundries, I found one doesn't need to pack much more than you would for a week-long cruise. Now that semi-formal nights have been done away with (on Princess), there's no need for a suit - I'm taking my tux and the rest will all be 'regular' clothes.
