Room Service Tipping?
Hi there,
Our travel agent told us there is no need to tip for room service. We are going on the Sun to Mexican Riviera on Jan 5. I keep reading on this message board that we should tip them. My hubby thinks because the travel agent says so, that it means its true. I am not so sure. Feedback please. :-)

Re: Room Service Tipping?
While on the Star Princess in September I did tip the room service people. The reason
was they had to come a long way to get to my cabin and they were so appreciative of
the tip. Remember these personnel work 7 days a week for 6 to 9 months. They
need a boost once in a while. So I think tipping would make one feel good.

even though gratuities are included in your bill, i think you should still tip your cabin steward. I am a believer in pre-tipping, give him/her a couple of bucks the first day of the cruise and you would be amazed at the level of service you get, you are giving them an incentive -imho

Re: Room Service Tipping?
We always keep some singles in a drawer handy for room service tipping.
We have never had to wait very long for room service. The servers always seem happy to get a tip. And I appreciate their service.

Re: Re: Room Service Tipping?
our room steward brought the room service, she refused a tip, so we added it on to the tip at the end of the cruise.
