I was reading a previous post regarding the salons and that they are expensive. What if you only want your hair styled? Does anyone know if they just do styling and how much? Also, do they do make-up as well? We are sailing on the Coral.
I have shoulder legnth, thick hair and to wash it and blow dry it was $45. The cheapest thing in the salon is a conditioning treatment that is around $30.
i have chin-length thick hair and i paid $60.00 for a wash/dry and style w/curling iron. Frankly, i could have done a better job myself. You can get just a roller-set if that is what you are talking about. You can do it yourself and save $$. I do not know if they do make-up. (again you can do it yourself) I do know that the salons are very pushy about trying to sell you products and services ($$$$).
Some of the stylists are wonderful, some aren't. The ones that are good are a great value IMHO since you can take your new style home to your own hair dresser. The ones that are bad spoil it for all the rest. I remember a stylist on Victory that gave me a 1940's look, which was the last thing in the world I wanted. I went back to the cabin, washed my hair and did it myself. Since then I've cut my hair super short. All I have to do is wash it and run a comb through it. What freedom!
