How many people do you tip, do they take out tipping for everything or do you get to decide how much ,Dawn Princess to Alaska 6-21-04, from what i have read!! tipping can cost an arm and a leg sorry so many questions just a worry wart
Tanny - not to worry - automatic tipping is broken down to tipping your cabin steward, your waiter, assistant waiter and the head waiter.- payable at the end of the cruise. Tips are automatically added to your bar bill. You can adjust the amount up or down or choose not to use automatic tipping. (Automatic tipping boils down to $10.00 per person per day.) and tip on the last day of the cruise.
Tipping is added to your account at the rate of $10. per person [that is passenger] per day. You can go and have it adjusted at the pursers desk but really that is the minimum one should tip, you can always give additional in cash to someone for exceptional service. Also you tip for room service each time you get something as these people are not generally part of the tip pool the $10 goes to. And drinks will have a 15% gratuity added to each bill so no need to tip any extra there.
And DON't Forget to tip the baggage handlers at the docks etc. Not that they would let you forget anyway.
