You can smoke in the bars, by the pool (on side only) and in your room. The dining area's and show lounges are non smoking.
Happy sailing,

And you can smoke on any outside deck on one side of the ship. I thought it was starboard side, but some say the port side. You'll know which side it is, because there are ashtrays on that side of the ship.

Pea,
Do all Princess ships have one side for non-smokers? We will be on the Grand and were not asked which we preferred.
Thanks
Bobbie

Some how I figured someone would put there two cents in about smoking.
Thanks for your thoughts, although I didn't ask about a lifestyle choice...

Bobbie -

It's not the cabins I was speaking of. All cabins are smoking...there are no designated non-smoking cabins on the Grand. When I was speaking of the side of the ship, I was talking about the public outdoor decks, i.e. Promenade, Sun, Sports, etc.

Never had TOO MUCH of a problem as considerate smokers being able to smoke on Princess ships! Certainly, you can smoke in your cabin.

Sometimes, the "smoking side" does not have enough ashtrays. Emply beer cans work very well! Have Fun!

::insert eye-rolling here::

Shoo, troll... she didn't ask for your opinion on smoking. I can't stand people who think the world revolves around them -- can you stop that for a week and think of others?

That will never happen. Just look what happened to the Carvinal Paradise, Carnival lost too much money, so now when she goes to CA. She will again be a smoking ship. Is smoke bothers anyone, stay away from the Port side of the Ship, Thats where the smokers are allowed to smoke. Also in their room, balconys, and the Casinos.And I believe some bars. Smoking bothers some people, and people who drink Scotch and carry their glasses around the ship, makes me sick. Yes my brother for one, drinks that stinky smelling stuff, but he does not smoke. I smoke but dont drink. I dont tell my brother stop drinking for a week, and he wont tell me to stop smoking for a week either.

When I go to restaurants and want a cigarette I am forced to go outside for one. If I am on the ship and want to smoke I will also go where smoking is allowed on the ship as to not offend anybody. If my smoking bothers any non smokers on the same ship then I would expect the same courtesy that I give to non smokers and go where smoking is not allowed if it bothers you so much!
