Marriott Marina hotel??

I was wanting to stay at the marriott marina hotel the night before our departure. We do not leave until april 9 2005. The rates I am getting right now are $229.00 a night. Anyone know of any good sites or information to get this room cheaper. I seen a few postings on here of people claiming to be staying at this hotel very cheap.

Wait awhile. Right now the pricing for the Marriott Marina is quite high. I am looking for March 10 and the rate is $299/night. I got it last winter for $109/night. If you bid through priceline, most likely you will not get the Marriott Marina. I've heard they are using the Renaissance a lot.

If you booked the room through Princess, it looks like that would be $135/person... or $270.

How did you get it through Princess for $135/night? Princess lists the Marriott Marina for the season you mentioned (Dec-May) as $119/night PER PERSON. Are you sure your price covers two? Or are you traveling as a single?

Not sure how we got that price, but the invoice we received in the mail last week with our confirmations etc clearly states we paid 68.14 per person or 136.28 total for the night...got the deal through our travel agent, she claimed that Princess offered us the rate as they were the ones "uncomfortable" with our arrival time and requested that we fly in the day before to allow for any delays.

BTW, we booked our air on our own, not through Princess. When they asked for our flight schedules, that is when they came back to us requesting we get an earlier flight to allow for delays and when we said we were not wanting to pay a hotel in FLL they came back and offered us the 68.14 per person per night, including transfers from airport and to the pier...

That's odd that Princess would care about your flight schedule, when you didn't book your flights with them. That's awfully nice of them to give you a reduced rate for the hotel when you didn't even book your flights through them, just because they were concerned about the time of your flight. I've never had that kind of personal service.

that's a great rate for the Marriott Marina. Check with your TA to see what kind of rates you can get, check out the discount travel sites like hotwire.com, hotels.com, sites like that.

Re: Re: Marriott Marina hotel??

Our original plan was to arrive in FLL at 6am the day the cruise leaves at 5PM. Princess felt that since we were coming infrom Canada via Las Vegas that we may not be allowing enough time for snow delays etc. They requested that we come in the day before and that they would get us a hotel at discounted rates. ISo we changed our flight to arrive at 6AM the day before, gives us almost two full days to explore FLL and it only costs us an extra 150.oo (with exchange). Worked out great for us.

Out TA is awesome, also got us a room upgrade already as well, not category, just better room for same price as the one we booked.
