Thru the marine reserve, we're thinking it might be a good one, but a little concerned about the strenuous level. We're mid-40s, no tri-athletes, but not couch potatoes either. I would think the water will be pretty flat, and from what I've seen they use the 2-person sit-on-top kayaks, which are pretty forgiving.
Be interested if anyone has recently been on this excursion to hear your thoughts.
We did this excursion in Nov. '02. Doubt that it has changed much. I really enjoyed it, but it does require some strength and hard work. Going out is not bad, you make lots of stops and learn some interesting facts. Coming back - you are going against the current and we only made one stop. My daught-in-law (29 and in really good shape, works out daily) and I shared a kayak and we were both exhausted at the end. I felt it the next day in my arms and shoulders - but it was fun.
