port Cancellation

We are going on a Panama Canal Cruise in Jan 2005. I read on Cruise crotocs that the Coral Princess has cancelled its stopping at Colon and may not be going down the canal to Lake Gatun. This would be terrible as this is why we are going on the cruise. Has anyone heard of this happening? Please prove me weong! Thanks

Suzie, have no clue about Limon, but I would not worry about not going to Lake Gatun. When you exit the Gatun Locks, you are already in Lake Gatun. The ship goes to an anchorage area on the side of the lake and all passengers booked on excursions are tendered to shore from that point. Then at some pre-determined time (the the Panamal Canal Authority), the ship exits Lake Gatun and exits the canal through the Gatun Lakes and docks at Cristobal. So there is not way that Lake Gatun is going to be cancelled.
