Default directions in cozumel

Hi everyone

We will be in cozumel from 7AM -2:30PM. Princess cut the time we were to be docked from 5pm. We have already booked an excursion from 8:15-1:15, so our shopping time has been cut dramatically. We definitely wanted to go to Los Cincos soles, buy some vanilla, tequila and kaluha. We are meeting and I assume being let off at Carlos and Charlies. Does anyone know if Los Cincos Soles is near Carlos and Charlies? Anyone know of any place that sells good Vanilla, tequila and kaluha at reasonable prices and is near cruise ship terminals. We don't want to miss the boat, but we also don't want to miss out on some shopping. Thanks for any help

When is your cruise? We are going to cozumel also. We just got our docs Friday, but all of our ports were still the same times. We are going on Nov 7.

Hi Christina,
Depending on which pier you will be using, the one we were at had lots of shops right there, and almost every store sold vanilla, so I'm sure you can find everything you want right there and not miss the boat, good luck shopping.

Last couple of times I was in Cozumel on Princess, we docked at Puerto Maya (which Carnival essentially built) and they have most of the big downtown stores right there ... including Los Cinco Soles. Carlos and Charlies is a short ride on the way to downtown. And, the Cinco Soles downtown is way at the end of the main street.

I would hope that the excursion people you booked with would pick you up at the cruise terminal and NOT at Carlos and Charlies which would be a cab ride from Puerto Maya and would be cutting your time pretty short.

You might want to rethink that particular excursion.

The ferry from Cozumel to Cancun is very rough, so even if you never get seasick, take some Dramamine. There are buckets on every row of seats for, well, you know.
