Default Special Occasion Requests

I notice on the cruise personalizer that you can indicate if you want to celebrate a birthday, anniversary etc. If you check that what does that mean? Are they going to give you some sort of package and bill you for it?

I would like to maybe buy a cake from my daughter or do they provide that? I know on carnival you could buy a birthday cake for $7 I think. Does Princess offer anything like that?

When we were on a Princess cruise a couple of years ago, we celebrated our wedding anniversary. We had checked the "anniversary" box in Cruise Personalizer.

On our anniversary, the cabin attendant (I guess it was him) put streamers, balloons, and a sign on and around our cabin door. No cake or anything else. There was no charge for this "service". I don't know if they still do it.

We just were on the Diamond Princess around the time of my daughter's birthday. They do put the balloons and sign on the door. They also sang happy birthday and had a small chocolate cake at dinner on the night we designated. We got the cake even though we had personal choice dining. No charge for the cake.

I was on Coral Princess for my birthday 01/01 and they did give me a dessert after dinner and sang and you also get a card signed by the Captain. My son had sent me flowers so Jose the cabin attendant knew it was my birthday and didn't do anything extre. We did see anniversary, honeymoon and birthday balloons on different cabin doors. It just might be an extra charge though. There was a couple in the dining room one night (it was just a table for two) and they got a full size birthday cake. So I assume they will do what ever your wishes are.

We were on the Golden in May and had streamers and balloons for our anniversary. We also got a small cake to celebrate. There wasn't any charge, we put it on the cruise personalizer and our TA told Princess too This April we will be on the Sun and will be celebrating my husbands birthday, I will put it on the personalizer and tell our TA. So many people on our floor were celebrating everything from honeymoon to graduation. A lot of doors were decorated. Fun time. You can always mention it to the maitre de in the dining room and they will provide a cake.
