Default Dawn Princess Mini-suites

Hi everyone. I am going on a Mexican Cruise on the Dawn (My first cruise ever!) that leaves from San Francisco on December 1. We booked a mini-suite but there are conflicting images on the Princess website as to what the floorplan actually is. One image shows a cabin with a "double balcony" with a walk-in closet, another shows a longer "walk through" configuration where you walk past the bed through a sitting area to the balcony. Can someone shed some light on this? Thanks a bunch! --Frank

It appears that you are crossing cabin diagrams for a different ship with the cabin diagrams for MV Dawn Princess. All of the minisuites aboard MV Dawn Princess are small suites with a sitting room and a bedroom located side by side, with access to the balcony and to the head from both. The head is huge, too. IIRC, it has a full tub and shower and a nice walk-in closet. There's a folding partition between the bedroom and the sitting room, and the sitting room has two areas -- one area with a sofa and easy chairs and another area with a dining table and chairs. The other arrangement that you describe is on the Grand Princess, Diamond Princess, Coral Princess, and Caribbean Princess classes of vessels.

Have a great cruise!

Norm.

Default C747

Sorry to differ, it depends on the deck. We had C747 on the Caribe deck and it is a deep room. The living room takes over the balcony side of the room, looking out on a balcony approx 8' deep and 12' wide. The balcony was so big, it had a small storage shed on it. The middle of the room has a very large bedroom. There is a curtain dividing the bedroom from the living room, if you have an additional passenger. On one side of the mini is a very long hallway, starting at the room door and stopping at a very nice wet bar. The bedroom wall separates the bedroom from the hall. When you enter the mini, there is a door that accesses one of the two bathrooms (the toilet room). It has a very large sink and toilet and a door that separates it from the real bathroom, which includes a large sink area and a jacuzzi tub. This particular room did not have a separate shower. I believe the floor space (to the best of my memory) was around 560 sq feet, including the balcony.

Our mini- suite is one the Baja Deck (B422). Hope this helps to clarify. Thanks for the feedback! Frank

There are 2 different layouts for mini-suites on the Sun Class ships.

Mini-suites on the sides of the ship have the sitting room next to the bedroom area, more of a 2 room layout.

Some of the mini-suites after are longer and narrower.
