After a long search for my 50th birthday cruise, we picked the Caribbean Princess for 01/07/07. I believe we have a balcony cabin on the Caribe deck. Thanks Cruisemates for all the great articles and posts about the ship.

cruisingalong, we have a balcony on the caribe deck of the Golden in December. The balconies on this deck are 9ftx9ft but from what I understand do not offer a lot of privacy from above. I'll come back and let you know how we like the size of the balcony versus the privacy.

I beg to differ. We were on the CP last Sept. and the Caribe Deck allowed just enough privacy. The roof of the balcony extend about 5ft out and leaves just about 4ft to sunbathe. Also you can put as many as 3lounge chairs if u wanted. We had two plus our table and 2 large chairs that reclined. But ask and tip your room steward to get u the blue and white cushions and a blanket The use the during The Movies Under the Stars. I love watching the movies and the Tina Turner and Tom Jones concerts. Are u a fan. If u aren't u will be.
We also like how pretty the Lido Deck was designed, WOW! Overall the ship is beautiful and a unique design on the aft.

Our first cruise ever was to the Caribbean. Though it was only five days, we had the time of our lives. Bet you'll thoroughly enjoy your 50th birthday there. All the best!
