Default Blow Dryer Power on Crown Princess

Can anyone tell me how powerful the blow dryers are on the Crown Princess? I have only cruised one other time and that was on Carnival. There was barely any power behind it. It would have taken me forever to dry my hair if I hadn't taken my own blow dryer.

I appreciate any feedback.

Hi stella2626,

Welcome to Cruisemates!

We haven't been on Crown Princess (yet!), but we have been on the Grand and the Sun.

The hairdryer was fine for my DH (my hair is short and curly, so it "air-dries" ), but if you have very long or very thick hair you'll probably want to bring your own travel hairdryer.

Have a great cruise!

Hello Stella,

I have been on many of Princess cruise ships and have very thick hair and their blow dryiers have worked very well and fast to dry my hair.

Have a great cruise,

i have a great little travel hair dryer that always comes with me. I have found that the hairdryers are just ok, not powerful enough for my hair. I have medium length hair and alot of it and it took forever to dry using the stateroom hairdryer.

On a similar subject, does anyone know if plug in hair straighteners are allowed on board? Also, are hair dryers limited to a certain power - I thought I had read in the Princss cruise answer book that they could only be up to 500 watts - hardly worth using!
