A contagious stomach virus is likely to blame for sickening about 370 people who ate at an Olive Garden restaurant in Indianapolis last week, a county health official said on Monday.
Stool tests of three Olive Garden employees and one customer were positive for a norovirus, a gastrointestinal illness that causes vomiting and diarrhea, according to Marion County Health Department spokesman John Althardt.

I agree. Recently several larger schools in Arkansas were closed because of the "stomach flu". It made a very small "filler" in the newspaper.
If this had happened on a cruise ship it would have been on the second or third page of our paper (or even the first, if it was a "slow" news day), with pictures of the "sick" passengers disembarking!
We have a lot of small towns here with fewer residents than even the smallest mainline cruise ships. It's not news when they close the schools , but it would have been if it happened on a cruise ship.
I think they should put the hand wash in all schools, hospitals and stores. The grocery store I go to most often did have the hand wash available for a short time last year, but then it disappeared .
