PRE-CRUISE HOTEL IN SAN DIEGO

COULD USE SOME ADVICE ON THE PRE-CRUISE HOTEL THAT PRINCESS SETS UP. THE ONLY ONE THEY SAID THEY USE IS THE WESTGATE IN DOWNTOWN SAN DIEGO,HAS ANY ONE STAYED THERE? IT`S PRICEY BUT SUPPOSED TO BE 1ST CLASS.WE WOULD LIKE TO STAY FRI AND SAT BEFORE SAILING.

Check at TripAdvisor.com. It got mixed reviews but mostly very positive ones. We booked our own and stayed at the Best Western Bayside on Ash. Very nice and they have an airport and port free shuttle service. We have also stayed at the Embassy Suites and loved it. We won the Omni Hotel thru Priceline for $100. Do a little research and maybe book your own hotel.

We stayed at the Holiday Inn On the Bay which is directly across the street from the cruise terminal. I thought it was fine. Our room room faced the pier and we looked directly at the Oosterdam when she came in the next morning. There is another Holiday Inn (Holiday Inn Bayside) which is across the bay from the pier.
