Transportation from Ft. Lauderdale airport to Port Everglade

For the fellow cruisemates that have not purchased the princess transfers, how much is a cab ride from the airport to the port?

Taxi is the way to go from FT Laud airport. It's about $12-14 including the tip.. for the taxi, NOT per person.

i totally agree with Kuki, taxi is the way to go. Its cheaper and faster. The cruise terminal is no more than 10 minutes from the airport

It is not only cheaper and faster but when you are returning you will probably be all checked in at the airport while your fellow passengers are still waiting for their bus at the cruise terminal. The taxi also drops you off right at your airline while the busses drop you off quite a walk away. The last time I took the Princess transfers there were 6 ships in at the same time (hurricane delays) so you can imagine what a mess the air terminal was with about 10,000 people trying to get checked in. I almost missed my flight. A TAXI IS THE ONLY WAY TO GO!
The cost per cab with the tip is about $14 to $17.

Agree with all the above about taxis. When you disembark, tell the porter you need a cab to FLL airport and you will be whisked away before the "transfer" people even get on their bus, let alone load all their luggage.

I've disembarked at 8:45 a.m. and been at the airport by 9:15.

Take a cab!

Thanks for the great info. I was thinking cab to begin with and you guys just reinforced by decision.
