Default New to CruiseMates /booked on Ruby

[/b]Hello all! I am new here to CruiseMates. My hubby and I have been to the Caribbean and Alaska , both with Princess. I have been on 5 cruises with Carnival to the Caribbean. We just booked for November 15th. on the Ruby. Looking forward to the cruise. Haven't booked our prenight hotel in Ft. Lauderdale. Any suggestions? Carolyn

Many here have had good success with bidding on Priceline.

If you want to stay right by the port, try Holiday Inn Express, Amerisuites, Embassy Suites, Bahia Mar, or Pier 66....you have low to high rates there..

I know the Amersuites and Embassy have free breakfasts. Right next to the Amerisuites, is Southport, a nice shopping area with a Publix supermarket, and restaurants.

If you have more time to spend in Fll, check out an article I wrote, about my favorite city...

We bid on Priceline 3 yrs. ago and got the Bahia Mar for $60. I was shocked at how much hotels have went up since 2005. I think I am gonna try Priceline. I couldn't remember what area the Bahia Mar was in.
