The last cruise I took was an obstructed view on Princess. It was hardly obstructed at all. You could look out but not down because their were stairs and life boats there. Looking out was great and the room got the same amount of light. Has anyone been in an obstructed view cabin on Princess that was, in fact, totally obstructed so that you couldnt see out?
I have, I think it was on the Grand..the window was inset quite deeply, and if I remember correctly, it had a barrel style safety boat, right in front. Because the window was so deep set, there was very little light in the cabin..we really disliked it.

There is a big difference in "partially obstructed" and "fully obstructed"..... have to watch that closely, look at deck plans and if you have a TA, rely on their expertice to find the purrrrfect stateroom for you that meets your needs and budget !
