Hi,
My wife and I booked a cruise to Alaska on the Diamond Princess for next year, and because we booked early we were lucky enough to book a midship balcony, room C312 ( caribe deck ) but because this is a special trip for us we later decided to change it to a mini suite on the Emerald deck ( E718) which is at the Aft part of the ship over the Club Fusion .
I was told by cust service that this was a better choice and that they
have updated the ship and noise would not be a problem. Has anyone
stayed in any of these rooms and know if we made a wise choice or a
mistake ? We would appreciate any imput that might help as we still have time to make another change if neccesary .
We were in the aftmost mini-suite on the Crown (E730) last year and the noise fron Club Fusion was not a problem. I highly recommned the change!

We have done 5 cruises and always have a room as far aft as you can get. We have never had a problem with noise from the lounges below. You will love that location on the ship.
Hi Topher ,
I just got bounced off the computer in case you are seeing this twice
Thanks for your reply. Was it the Emerald deck that you stayed on as that is right
over the club ?
Yes, last cruise was emerald last cabin starboard side. We hear no noise at all. We are on emerald again next month any have no worries. Hope you enjoy the cruise.
