Default Emerald Princess: Self Disembark

My cruise returns to Ft Lauderdale April 16th arriving at 7:00am. My question is my flight from Ft Lauderdale leaves at 10:10 am. I am carrying off my own luggage and taking a cab to the airport. Should I have enough time to make my flight? Thanks for any info.

Normally you'll be OK most of the time BUT occasionally there can be something that might delay your disembarkation & the 10 AM flight might be close. Be sure to self disembark and try to be among the first getting off usually at around 7 to 7:15 AM. I just read where there was some hold up at customs the other day due to some personnel not showing up & that's where things can jam up.

I would call and find out what it would cost to change to a later flight especially if you need to be home by a specific time or work the next day. Remember a 10:10 departure means you board around 9:40 with security you need to be there by 9 and after disembarking there is customs and a line for taxis, etc.

For one thing you don't want to ruin the rest you got on vacation by missing the flight or stressing about maybe missing it. Also you may assume you can just hop the next flight but there might not be one depending on airline. My last trip I was booked to leave at 11 and when I tryed to change it later found out they only had 1 flight, if I had missed it the next one would have been the next day. Not worth the hassle in my opinion.

Default 10:10

Anything can happen, my money is on U will make it. If U R not in a rush for time then keep your 10:10 flight, to change it will be very costly. If U miss your 10:10 then just wait for the next available flight at best it will only cost U time.
