Be sure to check the water before diving in....our friend's sting injury was very severe, and the "fish" not identified, which makes the proper treatment plan difficult....RCC escorted him to the Emergency Room when we docked in Key West....the ship's doctor was very good, and concerned....a good thing.
I am a chef, so view food somewhat more critically than the general public. The presentation was nice, but little salt was used which rendered the food rather bland. This did not keep me from ordering 2 dinner entree's!!! Does anyone do this??? ....lst night they were extremely happy to accomodate my request...second nite, the waiter was very reluctant....but did serve me both....duck in Grand Marnier sauce & filet mignon...both were well prepared. Selections were not as exciting on the last 2 nites, but were absolutely fine. Steaks were properly cooked to order! Some menu descriptions were very embellished...what was served was more simply prepared than what was described.....
I found the salmon and shrimp on the buffet's to be somewhat "old" tasting..(the only waste on my plates). I thought the food in the Windjammer, particularly breakfast was fine for a quick, complete meal.
Overall, I was pleased with the food.....and consumed quite a bit of it.....to me one of the major reasons for cruising!
