Default Changing a cruise date

We have scheduled a trip with RCI for Auckland to Sydney in January 6, 2002, and just found out that our daughter is pregnant and due on January 9th. How hard is it to change the date of a cruise once you have already booked your trip. We are thinking that February 17, 2002 would be the better date, so we can be home near our daughter for the birth of her first child. Does anyone know how it works if you change your cruise date?

You have plenty of time to switch dates without penalty. Let your agent know ASAP can slide your deposit to new booking date. :-) Rix and Heather

I changed my date from this June to December 30th with no problem whatsoever. It even turned out to be over a $200 savings! AND, we get to spend New Years aboard. This is a CCL cruise on the Elation booked through Buycruises.com (JD is my TA). Good luck and congratulations on the upcoming baby event!

Hi ARdie,
All you need to do is call your travel agent, cancel the present booking and make the one that you can do, you still have plenty of time and no penalty at this point.
Congrats on the new family member :-)
