Transportation from Seattle to Vancouver

Has anyone taken the provided transportation from Seattle to the Canada Place Port in Vancouver? I am debating on whether or not to take a Limo instead. How many passenger bus/van does RCCL use? How long is the ride? How long do you sit at the airport? Input is appreciated, I'm leaving in a week and a half.

My husband and I flew into Seattle for an Alaskan cruise on Legend from Vancouver in 1997. The bus was full sized and comfortable and a box lunch was provided. The trip is approxiamately 3 hours straight up I-5. It was a bit of a "shlep" considering that we were coming from the east, but not too bad. I would be willing to do it again. I hope this helps you decide.

Thanks for the info on your experience. We too are flying in from the east and it is beyond me why our flight is not to Vancouver.

I don't know when you booked your cruise or whether or not the cruiseline or your travel agent made the flight arrangements, but I do know that air service in and out of Vancouver is far more limited than is Seattle's (and frequently more expensive). As a result, many cruise passengers end up busing between Seattle and Vancouver. Don't feel that you were singled out. We made our own flight arrangements when we cruised Alaska (we used frequent flyer points) and our best flight options required that we return home from Seattle (we flew to Anchorage to begin our cruise & land tour), instead of Vancouver. Relax and don't let the flight arrangements spoil your cruise.

I was told that it was due to the limited flights in and out of Vancouver. Nothing will spoil my trip. I leave in one week and I'm Psyched!

I just checked airfair to Seattle and Vancouver--Vancouver is almost twice the price. I figure flying into Seattle and renting a car one way will be much cheaper. Plus, we'll have the added pleasure of some sightseeing along the way.
